A New Addiction

This weekend I discovered the world of “swapping”. I joined two scrapbook swaps through Yahoo Groups. There are tons of different swaps: layout swaps, product swaps, etc.. There are also monthly layout contests and RAKS (Random Acts of Kindness). RAKS are when you send someone in the group a little surprise in the mail. For example: someone in the group has triplets. You could send that person 3 vellum envelops to use on a layout.

This month I decided to participate in one swap with each group. The first swap is an easy one. I make 6 baggies that included 20 buttons. I send them to the host and she will send me 6 different baggies of buttons from other participants.

The second swap is a Holiday Page Kit Swap. I chose 4th of July. I made 6 kits containing: 1 topper, 1 tag, 1 journaling box, and 1 embellishments bag per kit. Once I send my kits to the swap host she will send me 6 kits that will include the following: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Halloween, 4th of July, and Summertime Fun.

I have signed up for one more swap group. However, to get accepted into this swap group you have to submit so samples of your work! That way the group can assure quality work. These swaps could turn out to be really addicting!
