Great Friends, Christmas Gifts, and Key West

Tonight I met up with Leana and Nikki for our annual Christmas dinner and gift exchange. Leana and Nikki are two of my best friends. We met at summer camp in June 2000. I had just graduated from college and was the camp director. Nikki and Leana were still in college and were camp counselors. The three of us quickly became friends. We all have a special bond...a stomach bond. We have had serious (and ongoing) issues with our stomachs. Nikki and Leana have both graduated from college. Leana complete her masters degree this past summer and is currently teaching music...at the middle school level! Nikki is working on her masters and teaching 2nd grade. Even though we only get to see each other about once a month we remain close friends.

We had dinner at Longhorn and then went back to Leana's to exchange gifts. Each year we have an ornament exchange as well as a small gift exchange. Leana and I both gave picture frame ornaments and Nikki gave a Willow Tree ornament. Nikki also got me some bubble bath and a super cute purse! It's black with a small beaded palm tree on it. Leana gave both Nikki and I some great pumpkin face mask stuff and some hand lotion.

One other Christmas tradition we have is to begin making Spring Break plans. We usually go to Seaside or one of the neighboring South Walton beaches. But this year we are going to KEY WEST! We are all soooooo excited!

It was great to spend time with my girls. It's nice to know I am blessed with such great friends:)
