This is a layout I completed with the online scrapbook group, Swap Bunch. Each month the group owner hosts a SHOCKER. A shocker is when you are given a supply list and then a few days later you go to the website and view a sample layout and the directions. The December shocker was a heritage theme (my least favorite scrapbooking style) and focused on using an exacto knife (that's how I cut out the flowers around the picture). At the end of the night everyone submits their layouts and the group members vote on their favorite one. The winner gets a small prize and has their layout displayed on the website homepage for two weeks. I did not win the shocker this month, but I still ended up with a nice layout. I am going to give it to my grandfather. It's a picture of his parents on their wedding day. I can't wait to try this new exacto knife technique on some other layouts!
