I have had some weird dreams lately. The kind that feel so real you think it actually happened. I decided to see if I could find any information on the web about what these dreams might signify. Here's what I found:
College Dream:
I dreamt that my old college roommate (Natalie) and I were moving back to Georgia College & State University. We were moving into in the same apartment complex that we lived in for two years. Everyone that when knew then, was there. Except Natalie and I were 28 and everyone else was younger. We did all the same stuff that we did in college...going to classes, bars, laying by the pool,etc... When I was dreaming about this I remember thinking that "this is not as fun as it was 5 years ago."
Dream Analysis 1:
If you had gone to college in your past, then consider your personal experiences and memories of your college days. (What the hell is that suppose to tell me?!)
Dream Analysis 2:
This dream predicts upcoming petty annoyances unless a professor was involved, in which case it forecasts a slight advancement in status. (Petty annoyances, could that be my students??? There were no professors in my dream.)
Dream Analysis 3:
To dream about a memory, suggests that you are ready to rid yourself of your old ways and undergo some sort of transformation and new outlook in life. Recalling a memory in your dream may also be less of a shock then if you had recalled the memory in your waken state. It indicates that you may have learned something from your past. (I'm not really sure what this is suppose to mean...)
Train Dream:
I dreamt that I was standing very close to a railroad track watching a train go by. I could not stop looking at the train. It was as if I was drawn to it. I also had a feeling that someone might jump off one of the train cars while I was watching. That made me feel scared but I kept on staring.
Dream Analysis 1:
Be aware of present changes in your life. (Uh...ok)
Dream Analysis 2:
To see a train in your dream, represents conformity and go along with what everyone else is doing (not really true for me). You have the need to do things in an orderly and sequential manner (yes, I need to have order and control). In particular, if you see a freight train, then it refers to the burdens and problems that you are hauling around (the train in my dream was a freight train, hummmm).
Dream Analysis 3:
If you merely observed a locomotive, it forecasts either travel or arrival of visitors from a distance (I am going to visit my family in Florida soon).
Dream Analysis 4:
To dream that you are scared, indicates that you are experiencing self-doubt and feelings of incompetence (doesn't everybody). You may be feeling a lack of control (yes, I hate that feeling).
Dream Analysis 5:
To dream that you are paralyzed, may reflect the current state of your body while you are dreaming. During the REM state of sleep you really are immobile and paralyzed. However symbolically, dreaming that you are paralyzed may mean you are feeling helpless or pinned down in some aspect or circumstances of your waking life. You may feel unable to deal with a situation or that you can't do or change anything. Alternatively, you may feel emotionally paralyzed. You may have difficulties in expressing yourself. (That's interesting...)
In conclusion, I feel more confused about my dreams. I tend to over analyze things so maybe researching the meaning of my dreams was a bad idea. By the way, did you know that dreaming about "teeth" is considered a "common" dream. I've never had a dream about teeth. Have you?

Hey I was a psych major...let me try. Your college dream tells me that you thought about the times as if you miss the good times with your friend but of course now you are older and a bit wiser so you were looking at your fun past in that perpective. Not meant to tell you anything just that you single out that time in your life as a positive one.
And your train dream..seems like you are at a plateau point in your life and you are watching everyone around you move forward at a fast pace. Maybe someone you know or is close to you getting married soon or having a baby?
Never dreamed about teeth. But when I was a child I had this re-occuring dream over and over like weeks in a row about the letter "H". It was a white backround with tons and tons of "H's" coming at me really fast and I couldn't move. I will never forget that dream. It sounds silly but in the dream in was a horrifying feeling.
thanks for the insight...
lots of people i know are married and have kids....
i had a dream where all of my teeth fell out.
According to The Dream Dictionary, if you lose all of your teeth you are full of anxieties about the future.
Ya know, I have been having weird dreams too. I should start looking them up... So, are you saying you do not want to go back to Club B19???;-) Nat
Ahhh! Club B19...oh the memories!
