Bad Hair Day - REALLY BAD

Julie dyed my hair today. It was a dye I had used many times in high school and college. It usually turns out really nice. This time it looks AWFUL. I think it's because I had a few "blondish" highlights in my hair. Now my hair is officially 3 different shades. Kind of a cross between maroon and purple.

I called the hair dye help line. They told me that I could re-dye my hair tomorrow using a color called "pecan".

I went to Publix to buy the "pecan" dye. I know when I was in the check out lane people were probably thinking, "Yeah, she might want to do something about that funky hair color she has going on"...

When I got home I called Jestin "the hair god" (that's what my mom and I call him because he can fix any hair accident). They told me in order to tone down the color I should wash my hair with dish soap and baking soda. I am going to try that first. Then if the color is still crappy I will re-dye it with the "pecan" color.

I hope one of these things work. I can't go out in public with this mop! I will post before and after pictures soon...it's too funny not to share.

that happened to me once. i ended up with an AWFUL color. just be careful redying your hair. use LOTS of conditioner each time you wash it, or better yet, buy a leave in conditioner like nexxus. that will help with breakage and really dry hair. good luck!
