Supin and I went to the mountains in
Tennessee. We rented a wonderful cabin (see previous posts) in between
Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The view was awesome. We got to our cabin early Friday
evening. We cooked some dinner and enjoyed the view from the two-story deck. When we came inside
Supin decided to tryout the gas fireplace. We were sitting on the floor in front of the fireplace when
Supin proposed to me! I don't remember all of the details. I really did not think he was going to propose on this trip. He even warned me not to expect anything "big" that weekend. After I put the ring on I was really wishing I had gotten a manicure. But I didn't because I really didn't think I was going to be getting engaged on our trip! We did not call anyone until we were on our way home. I really wanted to call EVERYONE but
Supin said that it was our weekend to enjoy and celebrate with each other. He was right...it was wonderful to share the weekend together. I think he knew I would be on the phone for hours talking to all of my friends and family. My dad already knew about the whole plan because
Supin had taken him to dinner the week before to ask for his blessing. Yes, I do have a sweet and thoughtful man! My mom didn't even know because
Supin made my dad keep it a secret. There were a few of
Supin's friends and family that knew about the surprise ahead of time. Everyone did a really good job of keeping it a secret. I am trying not to stress about planning the wedding. It's
soooo freakin' expensive. Thank god for Julie. She is going to help me do some creative planning. I have already cut my guest list twice. I think I have the final list now...127. We are pretty sure that the majority of the guests will show up...I am hoping for around 100 guests.
